History - from 1962 to nowadays

The monument that welcomes the tourists arriving at Riva degli Etruschi remembers the merits of the resort's founder Ferruccio Lazzi who more than 40 years ago wanted to "adapt the rough beauty of the marshy brushwood to a more pleasant and comfortable stay".

This absolutely innovative concept is the result of a new kind of tourism, forerunning in the 50s, kean on "naturalistic" holidays.
First of all, the idea was to offer to the tourist the fascination of a vacation immersed in nature without renouncing the pleasure of comfort.
