Riva degli Etruschi has always been committed to protecting and enhancing the territory that surrounds us, and with this in mind it has launched a profound transformation activity, in collaboration with the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo (UNISG), with the intention of creating a sustainable tourist hospitality model. Safeguarding biodiversity and enhancing the value of quality food production are the basis of our choice to operate in full compliance with the principles of organic farming


The farm “Tenuta Guardamare” was born out of the passion for our most precious heritage: our fertile lands, custodians of history, beauty and thousand-year-old farming traditions. It is in this spirit of sustainability that we want to offer all our guests the fruits of our land: the fresh vegetables picked daily in our garden, wine lovingly made from the grapes of our rows of vines and the oil produced from the olives of our centuries-old olive groves. All the products from our garden (e.g. haricot beans, broad beans, courgettes, corn, black cabbage, Val di Cornia artichokes) take centre stage in the menus in our restaurants and are the link between land and table, farm and fork


Near the Gulf of Baratti, just a few kilometres from Riva degli Etruschi, the stately rows of vines of our vineyard grow, cultivated according to Tuscan wine-making traditions to produce a unique wine that showcases the characteristics of our territory. The secret of our “Marittimo” wine lies in the search for a balance between man’s toil and the relationship with the natural features of the land and the vines. Behind every bottle is the work of skilled and experienced hands that handle the vines with the least environmental impact, assuring wine of sublime quality.
