Riva degli Etruschi is committed to protecting and enhancing the surrounding area in order to achieve a model of eco-sustainable tourism, through the creation of an agricultural land inside the resort, the Tenuta Guardamare, which supplies our restaurants daily with fresh, genuine and low environmental impact products. The agricultural area was the first goal of a journey that began in 2019 with the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo (a university branch of Slow Food), which helps us combine respect for the environment with a healthy and balanced diet, for the guests' well-being.
An organic cultivation born out of love for our land and the desire to safeguard the territory through the recovery of excellence, with the aim of handing it down to future generations. To this end, we created the Slow Food community of the Val di Cornia violet artichoke to preserve an indigenous cultivation that would otherwise be lost.
The recovery and reuse of waste in the kitchen is important to us, so we use everything that our agricultural area offers us and if any product is surplus, we transform it, giving it a new life.
Near the Gulf of Baratti, overlooking the sea, stand the rows of our vineyard cultivated according to Tuscan wine-making traditions to produce a unique wine that showcases the characteristics of our territory.
Marittimo wine is the emblem of the intertwining of land and sea that was created to pay homage to Tuscany and the work of generations of farmers who value the land and its excellence.
A wine produced in collaboration with Michele Satta, one of the founders of Bolgheri DOC, which was born from the desire to exalt Tuscan excellence.
